Heavenly God, help us acknowledge we are all humble sinners. Help us to see our own faults, help us to be humble in our actions and deeds. Hear our prayers we bring before you.
We pray to foster a concrete commitment on the part of all humanity to solving the immense problem of poverty in the world.
As Gaza is experiencing a health “catastrophe”, we pray for the long-term health prospects of the people of Gaza. With famine and mental health problems rampant, we pray humanitarian aid helps solve the crisis for future generations.
We pray for those struggling to move forward in forgiveness. We pray for those dealing with feelings of betrayal, hurt and deceit. May the Holy Spirit reside within them and help them to process their pain to move forward positively in forgiveness.
We pray for the many blessings we each have in life. We pray for the small everyday gifts that bring us happiness, help us to appreciate all that we have and realise each day is a precious gift.
We pray for those facing illness and poor health. We especially think of those currently in hospital waiting for tests, treatment, and operations. May the Holy Spirit sit beside them in their worry and help alleviate their anxiety and concern.
We pray for those feeling down and depressed. May the dark cloud that looms over them part to reveal glimmers of light and hope, for happier and brighter days ahead. Helps us to recognise those that are down, help us to raise them up.
Heavenly Father, help us keep the lamp of faith burning. Help us to become lamps capable of spreading your glorious light. Amen.
