Risen Lord, today we are reminded, “blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe.” We believe. You bring peace and harmony to our lives; you are our great restorer. Hear our prayers we bring before you.
We pray throughout this Eastertide, numerous appeals for peace. As a worldwide community, let us not be overcome by indifference and may world leaders unite to passionately reject war. We continue to pray for peace in our troubled world.
We pray for those exploring Christianity and seeking God. Like the disciples, on the road to Emmaus, may they recognise the one they seek and discover he is already walking beside them.
We pray for those who have died. May their encounter with the risen Lord bring them perfect peace.
We pray for those without direction or purpose in life. May a seed of hope and positivity be planted in their hearts and minds that drive them forward to live the life God intended for them.
We pray for our own renewal and restoration this Eastertide. May we take precious moments to appreciate all we have; all we are capable of and pass our blessings and goodwill to those who need it most.
As we come together today, we pray for our own church community. May the joy of Easter bring us ever closer to the risen Lord, may we look after and protect each other and create a sense of togetherness and unity.
Heavenly Father, you said, “Peace be with you,” help us to find peace in our lives, help us to talk to you openly, freely, and honestly. We take refuge in you. Amen.
