Loving Lord, you said, “Do not let your hearts be troubled”. You bring us peace and tranquillity in our troubled world. Hear our prayers we bring before you.
We pray for Pope Leo as he reminds us, “Dialogue strengthens communion, opens paths of understanding, and serves the cause of peace.” Give us the strength and confidence to spark meaningful dialogue with those we encounter to bring about harmonious and respectful relationships.
We pray for the two Jewish men that were stabbed in North London, in what police have declared a terrorist incident. We pray for non-violent, understanding, and inclusive communities throughout the UK. Help us to live in harmony with one another, respecting and celebrating our differences.
We pray for those who do not witness love in their lives. We pray especially for those who do not recognise or feel the warmth and protection of unconditional love in their family life. May the Holy Spirit help them to observe the love of God, who loves them more than they can possibly imagine.
We pray for those burdened by the weight of deep worry. May their troubles be lightened as they seek refuge through prayer. May they find comfort and console through close conversations with God.
We pray for students as they begin the start of their exams. May they feel confident of their abilities. May the Holy Spirit help calm their nerves and anxiety. May they be excited for their bright future ahead.
We pray for a moment for our own personal petitions…
Lord, you are the way, the truth and the life. We place all our fears, worries and hope in you. Amen.
