Lord of hope, be with us in all that we say, think and do, with your great love. Hear the prayers we trustingly bring before you.
We pray for all religious leaders. May they patiently nurture the good seed of the Gospel, regardless of opposition. May their courage and mercy lead many people to work for justice and peace.
We pray for the world and its leaders. May those in authority humbly serve and protect those who are vulnerable, regardless of their status in society.
We pray for peace in the troubled areas of the world. May politicians look for ways of ending, rather than creating, conflict. May they listen to people who are otherwise voiceless.
We pray for those involved with the emergency services. May God reward and bless them for their generous and compassionate care for other people. May they find the courage they need when facing danger or tragedy.
We pray for families as the summer holidays begin. May they stay safe and enjoy every minute of their increased time together.
We pray for young people who are taking their first steps on new paths. May the future be filled with hope and wise mentors.
