Loving God, King and centre of our hearts, who invite us to share your life and love, we ask you to listen to the prayers we bring before you and to hear even the unspoken longings of our hearts.
We pray for political and civic leaders, that they will cooperate in peace with each other and work to bring the greatest amount of good to the greatest number of the people whom they are called to serve
We pray that the people of our country, during this time of Covid-19 illness, bereavements and limitations, will find causes for celebration and hope in the midst of their struggles.
We pray for all those whose businesses and jobs are threatened by the effects of the coronavirus, that they will find the courage, hope and strategies which they need at this difficult moment in all our lives.
We pray for keyworkers balancing the needs of their families and of the people for whom they are responsible in the course of their daily work. May they experience and spread compassion, laughter and joy.
We pray for parents as they try to encourage and support their children, perhaps when they themselves need encouragement and support, that their good example will bring families ever closer together in peace and love.
Lord God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, be with us and bring us ever closer to you in all that we say, think and do. Amen.
