As we celebrate the Baptism of the Lord and remember our own calling as God’s beloved children, let us bring our prayers before the Father who delights in us.
Let us pray for the Church, the world, and all God’s people. May we all hear the Father’s words, “You are my beloved,” and live with faith, humility, and joy.
Let us pray for the leaders of nations and all who hold responsibility in national and international affairs. May they work for justice, peace, and the dignity of every person.
Let us pray for people in places suffering from conflict, disaster, or unrest. May the Holy Spirit, who creates order out of chaos, bring healing and dialogue.
Let us pray for those preparing for baptism or confirmation this year, and for all who accompany them. May the Holy Spirit guide, strengthen, and inspire them.
Let us pray for those who are sick, lonely, anxious, overwhelmed or grieving. May the light of Christ break through their darkness and give them a peaceful heart.
Let us pray for our parish family, especially those with young children. May we be a community where people are welcomed, valued, and encouraged to grow in faith.
Let us pray for our world as we start another year. May all people grow closer together in understanding and compassion.
Heavenly Father, you call us your beloved children and anoint us with your Spirit. Hear the prayers we offer this day and make us faithful to the calling we received in baptism, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
