Bidding Prayers – 28th September

Let us bring our prayers before the Lord, who calls us to repentance, mercy, and faithful action.

We pray for all Church leaders who call for peace. May we be one with them, with our eyes and hearts open to the suffering of so many people across our beautiful and broken world.

We pray for leaders of nations and communities. May they work for the good of all people with integrity and wisdom. In their leadership, may they look to serve and not to be served.

We pray for those who feel far from God or burdened by guilt. May they know the healing power of forgiveness and find hope in their darkness.

We pray for all who suffer, and especially for those who are poor, sick, and forgotten. May they be comforted by our care and uplifted by God’s grace.

We pray for the people of Gaza, Ukraine, Sudan and all countries where there is warfare or violence. May there be peace and may the many broken and bereaved families find the comfort and hope that they need.

We pray for our parish family. May we respond to God’s call with lives of service, mercy, and love.

Merciful Father, you call us to live with integrity and compassion. Hear these prayers we offer in faith and help us to walk in your ways. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
