Dear Lord, we remember you are the living bread, you nourish us beyond all else. You remain in us, and we in you. Hear our prayers we bring before you.
We pray for Pope Leo as he asks us to embrace an authentic peace based on love and justice. Help us to embody peace in a way that rejects every form of violence, whether it be visible or systemic.
We pray for those caught up in the school shooting in a church in Minneapolis this week, and for the wider community affected. We ask the Holy Spirit to draw near to them in their shock and grief.
We pray for our young people. May they dream big, promote a culture of care, and be champions of a society of togetherness.
We pray for those that feel uncertain, worried, and unsure of their future. May they be guided to live a full life, steered by God, and to accept the advice of good counsellors.
We pray for the sick and housebound, may they receive the help and support they need to experience better days ahead.
We pray for our own church community; may we grow together in faith and compassion. We give thanks to our clergy that inspire us weekly on our journey with God.
We pray for a moment for our own personal petitions…
Lord Jesus, help us carve out meaningful moments with you. Help us to embody your word in our lives and lead the life you intended for us. Amen.
