Loving Lord, we are confident that as we gather here today, you are in our midst. We bring you ourselves and our prayers, knowing that you love us more than we can possibly imagine.
Many countries and peoples are experiencing complex difficulties with few easy solutions. May governments do what they can to fight the effects of climate change, corruption, inequality, poverty and war.
As the new academic year begins, may teachers, parents and students face the year with hope and cooperation and may God bless everyone involved in education.
Many people are facing uncertainty with their relationships, employment, and finances. May they find practical resolutions to their problems and security in the circumstances in which they live.
This month, we are asked to think about what we can do to care for our beautiful planet. May God help us to cherish his gift of life and love.
