Lord of life and hope, we come to you today knowing that you are so greatand we are so small. We put ourselves, all that we have and are, into your hands, knowing that you love us more than we can possibly imagine.
We pray for all religious leaders. May they work together to bring peace and understanding to our world.
We pray for all those who have been affected by devastating earthquakes in Turkey and Syria. May God comfort the bereaved, calm the anxieties of those waiting for news, give courage to the first responders, volunteers and medical staff, hope to those who are still trapped and perhaps injured, and grant eternal rest to those who have died.
We pray for people who are struggling to make ends meet at this present time. May they find solutions to the difficulties and hope in situations which might seem hopeless.
We pray for the innocent victims of violence and injustice. May they discover respect and dignity. May they live their lives in freedom and peace.
We pray for families. May everyday bring family members closer to each other in love and understanding, happiness and compassion. May they help each other to achieve their dreams.
Loving God, fill our lives and our hearts So that everything we say, think and do is an expression of your love for each one of us. Amen.
