Bidding Prayers for Sunday 20th November

Lord God, you reign over the Universe which you created, but today we come before you, asking that you make our hearts your palace and your throne. Walk with us as we offer you our prayers for your people.

We pray for all religious leaders. May their leadership of service inspire many people to follow their example.

We pray for everyone who works in local and national governance. May their words and actions be directed by wisdom, justice, and compassion, especially for those who are most in need of support.

We pray for a world in which people can live together in peace and understanding. May there be respect for the human rights and dignity of every individual, especially for those who feel themselves to be neglected and overlooked by others.

We pray for all those who are struggling in today’s difficult economic situation. May everyone meet their basic needs for food, shelter, employment, and security.

We pray for an end to hostilities between countries and peoples. May there be a just end to the war in Ukraine and the oppression of indigenous communities in China, Myanmar, and other parts of the world.

We pray for families. May they grow together in hope and love in a society which cares for the most vulnerable of its members.

Loving Lord, King of the Universe, reign in our hearts and lives, forever and always. Amen.
